Ford adds a new diesel engine to the 2018 F-150 lineup

 

The Ram 1500 EcoDiesel will soon have stiff competition in the form of the 2018 Ford F-150, which will arrive next year with a brand-new F-150 diesel engine, a first for the lineup's half-ton pickup truck.

Check out these top specs and features for the 2018 Ford F-150, which will go on sale in Fall River and be available to MA drivers sometime next year.


2018 Ford F-150 Engine, Transmission, Towing, Release Date, and Tech

  • Engines: 3.0L V6 turbo diesel; 3.3L V6 gas; 2.7L EcoBoost turbo gas
  • Extended, more stylish twin-bar grille
  • Optional 10-speed automatic transmission
  • Higher tow rating (no specs yet, but the company hints the 2018 F-150 will be able to tow even more than the 2017 F-150
  • Available 4G LTE WiFi
  • High-strength, military-grade aluminum alloy body
