In the world of trucks, it seems like Ford F-150 gets all the attention sometimes. Of course, being the best-selling truck in America for more than three decades will do that. The F-150 is a light-duty truck that has legions of fans and is one of our favorite vehicles, period. But, sometimes, you need a little more. You need a little extra, and that’s what the Ford F-250 Super Duty’s got. Extra muscle, extra capability, and extra capacity. The F-250 is built for the extremes, and it’s here at First Ford, ready to get to work for Somerset, Newport, and Westport drivers.

What do you need from your next truck? Massachusetts winters can be tough and bleak, with deep chills and deeper snow. Fortunately, that’s exactly what the F-250 was designed for. The standard 6.2-liter V-8 engine puts down 385 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque. That’s potent power for proficient plowing. And, if you need even more power, a 6.7-liter turbodiesel V-8 boosts those figures to 450 horsepower and a mammoth 935 pound-feet of torque!

Do you need to haul heavy loads off-road, across town, or around the job site? The F-250 is rated for payloads of 2,500 to 4,300 pounds when properly equipped. Do you have an extra-large trailer or boat to tow? The F-250 doesn’t hesitate at all with tow capacities of 12,700 to 18,000 pounds depending on configuration.

It's definitely a plus having all that power, but with the F-250, you don’t have to rely solely on raw strength. Standard on F-250 models, Ford’s AdvanceTrac® with Roll Stability Control™ (RSC® ) and Trailer Sway Control technologies use gyroscopic sensors to apply precise wheel braking and engine power adjustments on the fly. The result is a towing experience as unflinching as you are.

To learn more about how the F-250 is built to serve Westport and New Bedford drivers, come see it in person at First Ford. Here in our Fall River Ford dealership you can get behind the wheel for a test drive and experience it for yourself. We’ll be happy to show you around.
